I am SO excited to begin my second year at Dapp School. I had an amazing summer, which involved my wedding! :)
I am teaching grade one this year, which means that I look forward to new challenges and successes! I have 12 fabulous students that mean the world to me!
I am also thrilled to be coaching the grade 5/6 girls soccer and volleyball teams. Go Roadrunners! (beep beep!)
This page will be the home to some of the fabulous links that I use in the classroom and other links that I find useful. Enjoy!
Links
http://www.2learn.ca/r2l/-This site is great for finding resources in each of the subject areas. Search by grade level to find exactly what is being learned in school.
www.abcya.com- This site provides many appropriate language arts, math and thematic activities according to grade level. We've used it many times already this year and some students have requested the address to be sent home for further practice!
http://www.spellingcity.com/ Looking for new ways to study word wall words? Look no further! This site allows students to enter the weekly word wall words, learn about them, play games with them, and even complete a practice test.
http://www.tumblebooks.com/library/asp/home_tumblebooks.asp- This website allows students to enjoy listening and watching a storybook, while reading along with the words. You'll find popular stories such as Franklin, and books written by Robert Munsch.
http://www.starfall.com/ What a neat site! Here you'll find short video clips to help your child learn to read, recognize vowel sounds, and letter blends.
